On November 4, 2015 River City High School students, from the culinary and Farm to Fork program, visited Pope Ranch/Arroyo Seco Ranch  as a part of our partnership with California Rangeland Trust. Students were greeted by Ag guests, including fellow students from the Colusa County Future Farmers of America program. They had the opporunity to go through six stations, where they learned about agriculture, farming, raising livestock and more:

  • Cattle Brands Sherry Maltby & Glenn-Colusa Cattle Women
  • Game: Ag Facts, FFA students
  • Pork Ambassadors: Mandy Thomas, Colusa FFA
  • Show steer, Alec Bailey, Colusa FFA
  • Petting Zoo, Colusa FFA
  • Fruit production and wagon ride: Dan & Barbara & Raul

After the tour of the farm was completed, students had the opportunity to tour our Raley’s store at 1601 W. Capitol Avenue, West Sacramento 95605; showing the complete process of farm to fork.
